About Stephanie

​A native of San Diego, Stephanie Kreutz is an opera and musical theater performer living in the Boston area.

Stephanie has performed many opera roles, including Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Gertrude (die Mutter) in Hänsel und Gretel, and Mrs. Grose and Miss Jessel in separate productions of Turn of the Screw. She's performed roles in scenes including Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, and Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro. Stephanie is a frequent recitalist throughout New England and has performed at concerts with VOX New England, Longwood Opera and Opera New Hampshire. For musical theater and operetta, roles include Josephine "Ma" Strong in Urinetown and Angela in Patience.

Stephanie has also worked as a director and choreographer. Show she has directed include Ruddigore by Gilbert and Sullivan, The Impressario by Mozart, and Gallantry by Douglas Moore. She has also assistant directed shows at Longy School of Music and Opera Brittenica. In addition, she has directed numerous musical revues and talent shows for youth performers.

Stephanie received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she won a prize in German Lieder. She earned her Bachelor in Music and English from Tufts University.
